Tips: Here are some tips for using your fritter mix
- All our recipes can be baked in the oven, fried in a frying pan, or (our personal favourite!) cooked in a waffle iron.
- Any ingredients you put into the fritter should already be an appropriate texture/size for your little one. For example, if they are eating only soft foods, only use steamed or mashed veggies in your fritters.
- These are the perfect thing to re-purpose leftovers! Leftover mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, etc can all be used to make delicious fritters.
- Add water sparingly! Your mixture should be thick and just wet enough so that it sticks together, if it’s too dry, add only a tsp of water at a time until it is the appropriate texture.
- Feel free to add in more flavour! Shredded cheese, extra spices and/or salt for those over 1 year all work well.
